All the generators in the premises has to be registered as per the regulation. You can register it in the TNEI website with the help of following steps

STEP - 1
1. Go to www.tnei.tn.gov.in
website, and Login the site.
2. Click – > Application for registration of
generator (Form-A1)
3. Click ->
Apply form A1, Then Enter the data (company Name, Address and DG details) as in your safety certificate

4. Manufacturer name and serial no. of engine
& alternator should be mentioned and then click Apply.
STEP - 2
1. Generate
and Download form A1 and get sign from applicant and then click -> continue
2. Upload form A1 signed by Applicant, then submit
form A1
STEP - 3
1. Get challan and make payment at SBI /
Treasury/Online payment.
2. After the payment go to challan
3. Click -> Submit paid challan. Enter the challan
details, reference number and upload scanned copy of challan
STEP - 4
1. Submit paid challan, Generated A1, copy of
safety certificate along with your letter at your Electrical inspectorate
office.
